Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect when you browse or book, why we collect it, and how to get it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who we are

KomaniLake.pl is a travel booking platform for Komani Lake and Northern Albania. Experiences sold through this site are operated by Wild Tour Albania, a licensed tour operator based in Shkodër, Albania.

For any privacy question, write to hello@komanilake.pl. We answer within five working days.

What we collect

When you book: your name, email address, phone number, country, travel date, group size and any accessibility or dietary information you choose to tell us.

When you pay: nothing. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout and never touch our servers. We receive only a payment reference, the last four digits and the result.

When you browse: anonymised page analytics. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share data with advertising networks.

On your device: your wishlist is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.

Why we can use it

To perform the contract you entered into when you booked — we cannot put you on a boat without telling the captain your name.

To meet legal obligations, including tax records and the passenger manifests that Albanian maritime rules require.

With your consent, to send you the newsletter. One click unsubscribes and we act on it immediately.

Who we share it with

Wild Tour Albania, so that the guide, captain and guesthouse know who is arriving. This is the only routine sharing we do.

Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, for payment processing. Their privacy policy governs card data.

Guesthouses and border authorities, on multi-day routes, where name and passport details are legally required.

We never sell personal data. We have never received a government request for it, and if we do we will say so here.

How long we keep it

Booking records: seven years, because Albanian tax law says so.

Enquiries that do not become bookings: 12 months, then deleted.

Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Albanian data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to processing. Email us and we will act, free of charge, within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national supervisory authority or to Albania's Information and Data Protection Commissioner.

Cookies

We use one functional cookie to remember your consent choice, and privacy-friendly analytics that do not follow you across other sites. There is no advertising cookie on this site, so there is no wall of checkboxes for you to click through.
